Terms and Conditions

All participants in shooting related activities must ensure they have read and abide by the conditions below.


1) All persons using firearms confirm that they are not prohibited from using firearms by virtue of the regulations set out in Section 21 of The Firearms Act 1968 and that they are personally insured to cover their activities. Any of the usual member organisations offer this as part of membership.
Declaration and Disclaimer document must be signed before stalking.

2) Guests using their own firearms must ensure that they carry the appropriate legal authority for the firearms, that they are conditioned and are appropriate for the activity they are engaging (Legal calibre/Muzzle Energy, Velocity/Bullet type), that firearms are in excellent working order and have been checked on arrival and before use.
Access to target range is available.

3) Guests stalking Sika and bringing rifles of calibres of less than 6.5mm may be asked to use an estate rifle.

4) Guests must take responsibility for their own equipment and possessions whilst on the estate. Particular care must be taken to secure firearms.
The owners/operators do not take responsibility for loss or damage to equipment whilst in use on the estate.

5) The terrain and conditions encountered when in the pursuit of deer on the estate WILL be challenging.
Guests are expected to be physically fit and appropriately dressed/equipped for all weather conditions.

6) Stalking guests are (usually) under the supervision and instruction of a paid and qualified guide. Guests are required to follow the guide’s instructions to the letter.
This includes what and when to shoot.
Tipping your guide at the end of a day is a discretionary but common practice in the UK.
Any guest found not following the instructions of the guide will be asked to leave without recourse to refund.

7) Stalking guests are paying for the opportunity to hunt wild animals in their natural environment.
Whilst every effort will be taken to ensure you have a successful hunt, We cannot guarantee either the target species will present themselves at appropriate distances for appropriate amounts of time, or the Scottish weather will allow uninterrupted activities.
We hope to can deliver enjoyable and safe experiences regardless of the number of shots taken and that guests recognise the efforts made by the guides to deliver this.

8) Use of guest vehicles on the estate is at the owners risk. Forest tracks are rough and unpaved.
20mph speed limit at all times.
Driving off the forest tracks is not allowed under any circumstances.

9) Guests participating in rifle range activities are under the direction of the Range Controlling Officer at all times. Failure to follow RCO instructions will result in ejection from the range or course.

10) Additional services are available at cost including but not limited to:
– Skinning and/or Butchery of carcases purchased by stalkers
– Head/Trophy preparation
– Shipping and Handling of Trophies
– Firearms Storage/RFD transfers
